Just Incredible

Bruce was simply amazing. He did not disappoint. We were celebrating our 35th Anniversary and had dinner at The Blake Steakhouse before the show. What a great dinner! Our host and waitress were awesome. Yes I would be pleased to bring anyone to this show at Massey Hall. We were row 6 off to the right. What comfort! This show was worth every penny. His sense of humour and wit were sharp and his voice very strong. His guitar playing has not lost a step. He played 3 hrs minus 30 min break. That's amazing. Some never reach the 2 hr mark. Most of his 'big' songs made the setlist. Yes he did play 5 or 6 songs that were not say his top 25 songs but that never bothered me. He played a few from his latest album that most of the crowd did not know. Here's a tip-if you go see a concert get to know the artist's latest album. I did and enjoyed those. It was clear to me he put an importance on his faith too. Many key songs were in the set, if you were listening for it. Thanks Bruce. ... Read more

Cockburn rocks the Hall.

Bruce Cockburn put on a stunning show of mastery Saturday, May 5th, at the venerable Massey Hall. The veteran rocker, guitar legend, and poetic wizard left no doubt that he is far from finished. His voice was strong and convincing, his playing was passionate and compelling, his band was rock solid. Although time has dealt the Canadian Music Hall of Famer health challenges he brushed them aside deftly to put on one of his strongest shows - in a lengthy career saturated with them. Our seats, on the centre-aisle in the very back row of the second balcony were amazing. We felt close to the stage and the person doing the sound treated us to a wonderfully mixed sonic experience. It left us feeling that returning to Massey Hall whenever possible is a must. Our pre-show meal was at a the delightful Mercatto, on Toronto Street. It was within easy walking distance of Massey. All in all a fantastic evening! ... Read more

Overall very good

Good show. Played some vintage hits and favorites with some excellent new material. The show did have some weaker moments when more obscure songs were performed. Sadly, other wonderful songs from the catalog were omitted that would have made the show outstanding. ... Read more
